Founded in 1964 Scoil Naomh Iósaf, Baile Cuishín has had a storied past. Situated between the parishes of Shrule and Kilmaine the school has been the main stay of the community for many years. History is told best by those that lived it and so there is a link below to an article written by journalist Willie McHugh. Willie attended Ballycushion National School in his youth, and in more recent years returned to see how the school had changed. In time it would be wonderful if Willie would return to see once again how the school has changed.
